Brief Bio

Allison Barlow suggested I should join. She saw a post on Facebook about teaching violin. Not too sure if I can be of use as I am mainly classically trained but have played film music, some famous rock songs, fiddle tunes, tangos, boleros. Have not done Jazz, Bluegrass or Country music.

Experience

My passion for violin took me from Brussels to Boston, passing through Fréjus, Draguignan, Toulon and Marseille in France. In 1995, I obtained the Golden Medal Eugene Ysaye in Violin Interpretation from the Toulon Provence Mediterranean Conservatory in France, and in 1998, a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from the prestigious New England Conservatory in Boston, United States.\r\nI have travelled worldwide, participating in numerous concerts and recordings with the Vera Instrumental Ensemble and Choir in Canada and the United States. As a soloist, I performed in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, for the European Cultural Capital 2019 with the Videlina Choir and joined them as well on their Spanish tour last July, playing concerts in Barcelona, Soria, Toledo and Granada.\r\nOver the years I have participated in recordings for many different classical music projects and produced three albums of my own, one CD with my compositions and two with Bulgarian folklore melodies by composer Peter Deunov.
