Brief Bio

I\'m looking to learn more about all aspects of making films, and keen to take on any role that gives me the chance to be on set with, and learn from other creatives. My future aim is to learn enough to take on the role of director of short films, documentaries, and commericals.

Experience

I’m a documentary filmmaker and photographer, based on Vancouver Island. Visual storytelling is my passion; I love getting to the heart of stories about most things including adventure and our environment. My experiences of travelling and working in many countries, along with my creative skills and knowledge, enable me to authentically capture the essence of a story.
Recently graduated Film School (2022), where my studies included production of documentaries, commercials and PSA\'s, directing, screenwriting, sound, lighting, and editing.
Prior to film school, the last 6 years have been spent editing online / social media marketing / drama films etc using Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro. I also work with Photoshop and Illustrator for graphics where needed.
In the UK I trained full time as a Documentary Stills Photographer with high profile photographers, including Magnum photographers David Hurn, Martin Parr and Eli Reed. (My creativity, plus a camera DSLR (rental of higher end video cameras when needed), and my own editing set up. )
